RokData is a shared-hosting-friendly SaaS cockpit for SMBs and lean agencies — social publishing, SEO audits, authorized security scans, and Deep Metrics in one workspace. This page explains our product purpose and how we use Google OAuth when you connect YouTube or Google Business Profile.
What is RokData?
RokData is a multi-tenant business software application (SaaS) for small businesses and agencies. The purpose of the RokData application is to help users manage digital marketing and website operations from one dashboard: social media publishing, SEO audits, security scanning of verified domains, and performance metrics.
Core functionality and features
- Social publishing: Users connect social accounts they manage, write posts, attach media, schedule publishing, and publish through RokData.
- YouTube publishing: Users can connect their own YouTube channel to upload and manage video posts they create in RokData.
- Google Business Profile (when enabled): Users can connect Business Profiles they manage to publish local posts and view related location data.
- SEO: Users add their own site URLs, run on-page audits, and track keywords.
- Security: Users verify domains they own and run authorized security scans.
- Deep Metrics: Users view health and performance summaries across connected brands and channels.
Why RokData requests Google user data
RokData requests Google authorization only when a signed-in RokData user clicks Connect YouTube or Connect Google Business in the product. The purpose of this Google user data access is to let that user link their own Google-managed assets to their RokData workspace so RokData can perform actions the user initiates.
Specifically, RokData uses Google OAuth scopes for:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload— upload videos the user creates/schedules in RokData to the YouTube channel they connect.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly— read channel identity/metadata needed to show the connected YouTube account in RokData.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage— (optional GBP) list and manage Google Business Profile locations the user administers, including publishing local posts they create in RokData.
RokData does not sell Google user data. Access tokens are stored securely for the connected workspace and used only to provide these features. Users can disconnect Google/YouTube accounts in RokData. See our privacy policy for retention and deletion.
